Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using RecipeVault, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service description

RecipeVault is a recipe management platform that lets you store, organize, and share recipes, with optional AI-powered features (OCR import, recipe generation, ingredient substitutions, and nutrition analysis).

3. Accounts

• You must be 13 years or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as indicated at checkout. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Refunds are available within 7 days of initial purchase if you have not materially used the Pro features. Contact support@cxstechnology.com.
• Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store payment card information.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from RecipeVault.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent any security feature.
• Upload malicious files or content designed to harm other users.
• Share or publish content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Abuse AI features by submitting intentionally harmful or inappropriate prompts.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the recipes and content you create. By making a recipe public, you grant RecipeVault a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that recipe to other users of the service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any recipe content you import or publish.

7. AI-generated content

AI features (recipe generation, OCR extraction, ingredient substitutions) may produce inaccurate results. Always verify nutritional information and allergen details from authoritative sources before consuming food. We are not liable for harm resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the settings page. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of prepaid subscription fees.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

RecipeVault is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
